The developement of Black Excellence came from an idea to pay tribute to a diverse and resilient culture, honoring those who have overcome adversities and celebrating the remarkable accomplishments and strides made by individuals throughout history.
It needed to be a fragrance that serves as a tribute to African culture and heritage, encapsulating the essence of the term, which signaifies the remarkable achievements and resilience of the African diaspora. Blending tradition and artistry, this scent is infused with the essence of African marigold and buchu oil, (buchu is an aromatic shrub native to South Africa). Capturing the strength and resilience of its roots, Black Excellence embodies the spirit of excellence in everyone who wears it or experiences its scent.
Engaging with indivduals of African descent, I discovered a better undertanding why shea butter is so essential for their unique, dryer skin. After several months focusing on this idea and collaborating with Brandon, a fellow co-worker, a line of body care products was created. Infused with the more nourishing oils and butters that work well for the melinated skin, I realized that my own skin loved these more complex oils and butters. So with an added bonus Black Excellence fragrance was added into the products giving a total celebration of the African rich hereitage.
